With the launch of its brand-new marine program, Le Sereno is inviting guests to join in on its coral restoration efforts, embark on turtle tours, enjoy water-based adventures, and learn how to repair, protect, and preserve the precious Caribbean ecosystem. Read on for how you can contribute to protecting the ocean during your next stay at Le Sereno.

Coral Restoration Program

More than just a beautiful natural wonder, coral is imperative to ocean life. Coral reefs protect coastlines from storms and erosion, provide habitats for 25% of marine life, and help clean the ocean. Coral reefs are dying due to human pollution and climate change, among other reasons, and many organizations and individuals are helping to reverse this damage through extensive restoration efforts. Le Sereno recently launched its own coral restoration program at Grand Cul de Sac with a dedicated team that is committed to preserving the fragile ecosystems.

Guests can learn more about the types of coral, how experts are restoring the local coral, and what we can do to help. You’ll get the opportunity to snorkel alongside guides and witness the resilience of these underwater gardens first-hand.
