With fourteen beaches to choose from, we’ve compiled a guide to the best beaches in St. Barths to help you find just what you’re looking for.

Shell Beach

Central Shell Beach is a favourite on St Barts for anyone looking for a social day spent in the waves. It has also a stunning sunset and there is a restaurant on the beach.  The beach itself is made up of tiny fragments of shell, which look particularly beautiful in the early morning and evening as they reflect the light. As far as things to do in St. Barths go, Shell Beach is up there with the best.

Colombier Beach

Colombier is the most secluded beach in St. Barths, it is hard to get to but certainly worth it! This beautiful beach is accesible by boat or by a hike ( about 20 min) thru a goat path with stunning views over the sea. Its is really a hidden Gem in St. Barths, the waters are blue, it has lush green vegetation and the sand is soft and white. Pack a picnic and discover Colombier beach.

Gouverneur Beach

Secluded and tranquil, Gouverneur Beach is located just a 8 min drive from the Grand Cul de Sac and offers untouched natural beauty, as well as an off-the-beaten-track alternative. If you’re looking for a quiet spot to unwind and read your book, Gouverneur Beach is for you. It has an easy access and a parking.

Toiny Beach

Looking for a place to hang ten? Toiny Beach is known as the best place to surf in St. Barths. The strong currents don’t lend themselves well to swimmers, and the beach is only recommended for those looking to catch some waves – which is great because it means surfers don’t have to dodge unaware swimmers.

Grand Cul de Sac Beach

The Grand Cul de Sac is one of the most picturesque bays that St. Barths has to offer. With shallow waters and protected by a coral reef,  it is ideal for families.  You will also have access to all kind of non motorized water sports such as kayaks, paddle boards, snorkeling gear and much more! As Le Sereno Hotel is situated right on the beach, guests can enjoy exclusive, uninterrupted access to the iridescent sand and shallow waters of the Grand Cul de Sac.

Saline Beach

Like most of the great spots in St Barths, Grande Saline takes a little bit of work to get to but not as much as Colombier. This beach is  located 10 min from the hotel and you need to walk 5 min from the parking area until you arrive to the beach. Anse de Grande Saline is a wonderful beach and is a real island paradise.. With dunes behind you and mountains on both sides, the beach is completely secluded. This beach is never crowded. The crystal clear waters make for great afternoons spent snorkeling, swimming, and taking in the jaw-dropping views. Make sure to pack a picnic since there are no restaurants or shops  on this beach. Near the parking lot you can find a few incredible restaurants like Le Grain de Sel and Tamarin,

Le Sereno St Barts is situated overlooking the spectacular Grand Cul de Sac. Step off our pool-deck onto the soft, white sand and experience luxury at the edge of one of the most awe-inspiring bays in the world. To start your Sereno journey today, contact us here.
